Terms of service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These terms apply when you use the EchoLab apps for Fire TV, Android TV, Android, and iOS, and the EchoLab account service (together, "EchoLab" or "the service"). By installing or using EchoLab you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What EchoLab is
EchoLab is a delayed-replay video tool for training and coaching. It connects to cameras on your local network, plays their video back on a delay you choose, and lets you save short clips. Video is processed on your own devices; EchoLab is not a cloud video or surveillance service.
2. Your licence to use the apps
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or control, for your own training and coaching activities. You may not copy, modify, resell, or redistribute the apps, or use them to build a competing service.
3. Accounts
You can use the free tier without an account. Paid plans require signing in with an email address you control. You're responsible for keeping access to that email secure, and for activity on devices signed in to your account. Sign devices out (Settings → Account) if they leave your control.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Billing is handled by your store. Subscriptions purchased in-app are billed by the Amazon Appstore or Google Play under their terms; web purchases are billed by our payment provider. We never see your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime in your store's subscription settings (or from your web account for web purchases). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds follow the refund policy of the store you purchased through.
- Price changes. If prices change, the new price applies from your next renewal, and your store will notify you in advance as its policies require.
5. Your content
Video captured by your cameras and the clips you save are yours. Because they are stored only on your devices, you are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep — we cannot recover footage that a device loses, and uninstalling an app deletes what it stored.
6. Using cameras responsibly
You are responsible for using EchoLab lawfully. That includes complying with the laws that apply to filming people in your facility — such as obtaining any consent required from athletes, members, parents, or staff, and posting notices where required. Don't use EchoLab to record people who haven't agreed to be recorded, or in places where recording is prohibited.
7. What EchoLab is not for
EchoLab is designed for sports training and review. It is not a security, surveillance, safety-monitoring, or life-safety system, and you must not rely on it as one. The replay buffer is temporary by design, and playback can be interrupted by network or hardware conditions outside our control.
8. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the account service; don't misrepresent your identity to it; don't use the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to the service
We improve the apps continuously and may add, change, or remove features over time. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you before your next renewal so you can decide whether to continue.
11. Disclaimers
EchoLab is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every camera or network configuration.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of footage, data, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Termination
You can stop using EchoLab at any time by uninstalling the apps and, if you wish, asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms; if we do and you have an active paid plan that isn't at fault, you'll be refunded pro-rata for the unused period.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights.
